He's a very simple, honest, and forthright man who cares deeply about his family, his coaches, and his players... and not much else. While that attitude certainly has it's flaws, it also inspires unwavering passion among his subordinates (see Twitter comments of past and current players after he was fired).

Bo called SE a p*ssy/c*nt and got laughter from the players. Why? Because that's the impression that SE gave them. How else would they react to his email notification of their head coach's firing? SE did the notification that way because he's EXACTLY the man that Bo described. It would have been far better to notify the players in person 24 hours later (Mike Riley - the chosen one - certainly wasn't being pursued elsewhere), but SE couldn't pull his head out from "underneath a f*cking rock" long enough to manage that transition properly.

Ndamukong Suh recently stated, "The leadership issues at the University of Nebraska extend above the Head Football Coach's office." I think all Nebraska fans (and especially Bo's detractors) need to consider that statement very carefully. As home-grown Big Red faithful you may disagree, but 56 percent of last year's roster (76 out of 136) came from outside Nebraska - just like Suh. What are their thoughts?

And as a life long Bama fan, let me caution you against blind trust in your weak athletic directors: http://www.rollbamaroll.com/2008/3/3/14051/34213

Bama Joe
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18019406461698245880noreply@blogger.com
