Nebraska drops one spot despite blowing out Kansas State. It's not so much anything against Nebraska as much as Oklahoma's blowout win over Florida State looks even better after the Seminoles blew out Miami on the road. I still don't know that Nebraska has played much of anybody yet; that's something that changes the next three weeks.

Mike, I normally admire your capacity to consider Nebraska's proper ranking in an objective manner. It's difficult to spend so much time rooting for a team and not get caught up in all the hype. However, to watch this past week's drubbing of Kansas State in Manhattan and then drop the Huskers a spot in the rankings afterward just seems like you are being conservative bordering on delusional. I know you don't want to get your hopes up, but seriously, Nebraska has earned their place in the top 5.
ReplyDeleteI like it. Left a post over at corn nation expressing my displeasure with Jon for dropping Alabama to number 12. This is much more reasonable. Quick question though, if NU played TCU who would be favored???
